Reports to: Senior Director of Club Operations
Location: Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS), Fort Lauderdale, FL
Classification: Full-Time, Exempt

Job Summary:
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County (BGCBC) is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and experienced SITE Manager to serve as the on-site leader of our innovative Club location housed within the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS). This role serves as the leader of the programs and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, staff management, program development, and partnership coordination with MODS.

This unique Clubhouse will serve youth through science-centered programming that aligns with BGCBC’s core areas while leveraging the educational resources of MODS. The Site Manager will work closely with museum staff to design and implement engaging, hands-on activities that inspire curiosity and learning while meeting the social, emotional, and developmental needs of youth.

Key Responsibilities

Facility & Staff Leadership

  • Serve as the lead administrator of the BGCBC programming, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all members.
  • Supervise and support Club staff, interns, and volunteers.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations including scheduling, safety procedures, in collaboration with MODS.
 

Program Development & Implementation

    • Develop and lead high-quality youth development programs in BGCBC’s four core areas, including MODS core area:

      • 1. Academic Success

      • 2. Good Character and Citizenship

      • 3. Healthy Lifestyles

      • 4. Life & Workforce Readiness

      • 5. STEM & Enrichment (leveraging the MODS partnership)

    • Collaborate with MODS educators and staff to integrate museum resources and exhibits into daily programming.
    • Ensure age-appropriate, culturally responsive, and engaging activities are delivered consistently.
 

Partnership & Communication

      • Serve as the main point of contact between BGCBC and MODS for all programmatic and operational coordination.
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, partners, and families.
      • Promote the Club within the community and support youth recruitment and retention strategies.
      • Collaborate with local schools to support recruitment efforts
 

Compliance, Reporting & Technical Tasks:

  • Maintain compliance with BGCBC operational, safety, and reporting procedures.
  • Manage grants, including achieving deliverables, tracking data, and submitting required reports on time.
  • Prepare program proposals, cost projections, and supply/need lists as required.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping of attendance, incidents, and member progress.
  • Administer and maintain certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
Human Relations Skills:
      • Ability to counsel youth members and parents, fostering a supportive and respectful Club culture.
      • Work collaboratively and effectively with Club volunteers, MODS staff, and community partners.
      • Maintain discipline and contribute to a positive, energetic workplace environment.
      • Build meaningful relationships with the local community, advisory boards, committees, and stakeholders.
      • Exhibit and model enthusiasm, integrity, and strong character traits to Club members and staff.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Youth Development, Social Work, or related field preferred; however, significant experience may be acceptable.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a youth development or educational setting.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and program planning skills.
  • Experience in managing grants and reporting deliverables.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for youth development and community collaboration.
  • Valid driver license

 

Work Environment:

This role will primarily be based at the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale, with occasional travel to BGCBC administrative offices or other club sites. The environment is fast-paced, hands-on, and interactive, often requiring movement throughout the museum and direct engagement with youth.
