Graphic Designer - Part Time

Reports To: Senior Director of Marketing, Communications & Community Engagement

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conceptualizing Visuals
      • Understand project requirements and translate them into concepts.
      • Develop creative concepts and design solutions for various projects, including marketing materials, branding collateral, digital assets, videos, packaging, promo items and presentations.
    • Collaboration
      • Work closely with Marketing Team on asset designs to understand project requirements and objectives.Take direction from team members with positive attitude and understand the mission of the organization throughout the process on all projects.
      • Utilize images and videos from outside companies as well as what is available in the Marketing Drive, from photo and video samples to finished high quality images and videos.
    • Brand Alignment
      • Ensure that all designs align with the brand identity, guidelines, and objectives.
      • Maintain consistency in visual elements across all platforms and materials.
    • Visual Communication
      • Create visual assets utilizing graphic design skills that effectively communicate messages, evoke emotions, and engage target audiences.
      • Use design elements such as typography, color, imagery, and layout to convey the intended message and enhance user experience.
      • Develop compelling graphic and image content for the company’s website, newsletters, flyers, rack cards and social media.
  • Technical Proficiency and Skills
    • Proven graphic designing experience
    • A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
    • Proficient in the below software and technologies
      • InDesign
      • Illustrator
      • Dreamweaver
      • Photoshop
    • Digital (UI, UX, Sketch)
    • Typography & Typesetting
    • Design principles
    • Idea generation
    • Branding alignment
    • Designing for Print
    • Organize files, assets, and documentation for each project to ensure efficient workflow and easy accessibility
    • A keen eye for aesthetics and details
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
    • Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
 
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must possess good interpersonal abilities; and the ability to always get along with diverse personalities displaying tact, maturity, flexibility and professionalism; Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment. Successfully communicate through speaking, writing and reading with comprehension. Manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines. Some local travel required.


    • Meetings – Available via Zoom/FaceTime/WhatsApp Video for marketing meetings (every scheduled work day)
    • Walking – throughout office and at other activities, required to walk (up to 1 hour) as needed
    • Talking – constantly required to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word
    • Hearing – frequently required to work in a variety of environments.
    • Sight – position requires both close and distance visual acuity for computer work and interacting with staff and guests
    • Standing – occasionally required to stand for sustained periods of time (related to events.)
    • Sitting – occasionally required to sit for up to 4 hours (when needed)
    • Bending – occasionally required to bend (picking items up off of the floor, filing)
    • Use hands/fingers to handle or feel – occasionally required to type for extended periods of time (entering payments, answering emails, writing reports, etc.)
    • Lifting – occasionally required to lift/move items up to 20 pounds.
    • Skills essential for successful communication include speaking and writing.
    • Worker will occasionally be subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions (when needed).
