The Generals Construction Career Day (GCCD) took place on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Lauderhill Boys & Girls Club. The event was a huge success, with the help of 15 top construction companies leading hands – on activities for over 150 teen Club members. Activities included crane operation, masonry/forming, carpentry, air conditioning, steel construction, electrical, and more! These companies made the day both fun and educational:

Our teen Club members, along with some special guests from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County’s Great Futures program at Forest Hill High Community High School, had the chance to try hands-on activities and interact with professionals from a variety of industries. They learned about important careers in construction, roofing, electrical work, and more. It was a day filled with learning, inspiration, and exciting career possibilities.
Thank you to the city of Lauderhill for co-hosting with us at the Lauderhill Boys & Girls Club. We are deeply grateful for their support, and we especially appreciate Commissioner Richard Campbell for being our guest speaker.
We also received special remarks from Annie Mecias- Murphy, Generals Club Chair, whose inspiring words and dedication truly set the tone for the day. Her hard work and commitment were key to make the GCCD a success!
