BGCBC has begun a new substance abuse prevention program for our high school members (grades 9–12). This multifaceted initiative aims to heighten youth understanding of the dangerous and life-altering effects of substance use. The program is funded by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCF) through the Florida Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs.
The Facts. Your Future. The initiative is reinventing the way substance abuse prevention is taught in our schools. It goes beyond “Just Say No” by focusing on “Just Say No and Here’s Why.” The State of Florida is committed to ensuring students receive prevention resources and encouragement that protect their health, prevent risky behaviors, and support them in thriving and flourishing.
This initiative is interactive, engaging, and designed to empower our next generation to make safe choices that reinforce their future success.
