Broward County
Torch Club is one of the most meaningful leadership opportunities available to young adolescents through Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Torch Club is a chartered, small-group character and leadership club for boys and girls ages 11 to 13, created to support younger adolescents during a critical stage of development. It is designed to help members build leadership skills, strengthen character and develop integrity in a supportive environment.
Similar to our Keystone Club, Torch Club elects officers and performs 3-4 youth-led service projects through the year. Members have the opportunity to submit for a themed National Project each year.
In the clubs, torch Club members are also utilized as part of the junior staff program assisting with planning and executing of in-club events and fundraisers. The club staff looks at members of Torch Club to be the successors of their current Keystone officers.

A dedicated program guide with 12 leadership and service sessions helps structure the club’s activities for tweens.
